My book is finally done. It was alot of fun to work on, but along the way everything that could go wrong did. My main PC did not power up anymore, my external hard drives seem to not be working ( this had all the back ups) you name it. Still I pushed through and am very proud of the outcome. I own a ton of art books, so I feel mine is a bit unique because I have not seen an art book with so much different subject matter and styles all done by one artist. usually books like this will be published with various artist contributing. So with that said, you can flip through a few of the pages below to give you a preview and also click on the link (the icon that looks like a shopping cart) to purchase the book. No Sleep till Brooklyn

Back to my Brooklyn roots today. Messing around with some Grafitti graphics for fun today with some mixed media. I love to work back and forth with a variety of techniques and styles. This one started out as a pencil sketch in my blackbook then colored with various markers and paint markers. I then scanned it in and added some more details digitally. The character was drawn years ago and added in for fun and to balance out the piece.

A graf sketch for a possible t-shirt design. The character has a message for the powers that be, " if you can pry the can from my 5 deadly venoms grip, then I'll stop". Now that's dedication for you.

Deadly Mai Lin

I named her Mai Lin after a cute little Vietnamese 2 year old that I met while working at as a cashier at a Vietnamese take out restaurant when I was a teen. She would get the cooks angry, because she would yell out the names of dishes and they would think someone placed an order so they would cook the dish. This worked in my favor, since I got to eat it, so it would not go to waste. We were an awesome team, me and my baby faced gangsta Mai Lin.

More Graf

A graffiti graphic done for a t-shirt design for my online store. Inspired by a sketch done by graf artist Tasso and utilizing a sketch from an old sketchbook of mine that I stumbled on while cleaning out my bookshelf. I call this one the squeegee vandal.

Here is another graf piece taken from a scan of a sketch in my sketchbook.  The color style was heavily influenced by Graf artist Can2, and the model was reference from an ad in an old fashion magazine.

Here's another Graf piece. This one would look awesome as a top to bottom burner on a train, don't you think?

Undercover Brother

Some more Graf, This character was inspired by undercover brother, starring Eddie Griffith, and Denise Richards. Inspiration also came from Anime movies like, Afro Samurai and Samurai Champloo. The Graf was recycled from the last post. I experimented with a non-conventional, non-mathematical pallet. Hope you likes.
