No Sleep till Brooklyn
Back to my Brooklyn roots today. Messing around with some Grafitti graphics for fun today with some mixed media. I love to work back and forth with a variety of techniques and styles. This one started out as a pencil sketch in my blackbook then colored with various markers and paint markers. I then scanned it in and added some more details digitally. The character was drawn years ago and added in for fun and to balance out the piece.

Tim and Johnny update
I got to do a little more on my Tim Burton and Johnny Depp caricature today. Hopefully I will be able to finish it soon, but I am taking my time and working on it in between work and Anthony Jones's creature design course on schoolism which I started earlier this week. It's a lot of fun and I highly recommend the course. The first lesson assignments called for some thumbnails of a dragon creature which we'll be finishing at the end of the nine weeks. Below is the caricature which still has a way to go, followed by my first assignment and more scribbler too sketches.

Johnny Depp and Tim Burton W.I.P.
Here is a work in progress shot of the Johnny Depp and Tim Burton caricature I am working on followed by some more Scribbler Too experiments. I think Johnny Depp and Tim Burton will end up being a series of studies for me. They have worked together on a number of movies that I enjoyed and I have a few reference pics that made it hard for me to decide which one I wanted to work on. I may as well do them all.

Sketchy Ladies, Scribbler Too, and The Silver Cord
I was excited to recieve my copy of a book I worked on a few years ago titled "The Silver Cord" You can read an online version of the book and find out how to order a printed copy at www.silver-cord.net There is also a link to a kickstarter page where you can help get the rest of the project out there, so head over to the site and learn all about it. Below is a two page spread that I painted for the book. Pencils by my friend and artist Steve Masseroni.
Next are a few figure drawing studies I did to stay loose at work this past Saturday
These next couple of thumbnails were done in an online sketching program called Scribbler Too. Look it up, it's pretty addicting. I just spend a few seconds on each of these to try it out, I intend on messing around with it more.

Seth And Richard Gecko
Seth: "And I don't want to hear anything about "I don't believe in vampires" because *I* don't believe in vampires, but I believe in my own two eyes, and what *I* saw is f@%#ing vampires!"
Here is a caricature of Bank Robbers turned Vampire Slayers, Seth and Richard Gecko. Played by George Clooney and director Quentin Tarantino In "From Dusk Till Dawn" , A 1996 horror crime action thriller film written by Quentin Tarantino and directed by Robert Rodriguez. The film also stars Selma Hayek, Harvey Keitel, Danny Trejo, Michael Parks, Cheech Marin and Juliette Lewis. It quickly became a cult favorite soon after it's release.
