Character design technique

Here's a fun way to design characters. Start off with a few random shapes, then try and fit a face into the shape. I came up with dozens of cartoon aliens, girls, guys etc. using this technique. Give it a try, it's fun. Don't feel restricted to the shape, you can draw outside of the shape if you need to, but it's a good starting point.
