I hope everybody is enjoying their New Year's Eve celebration and being safe as well. I wanted to share what are my very last doodles of 2014, since I have not had an update in a few weeks. I have been busy, but nothing that I can actually share at this point. Soon very Soon :) Looking back through my hard drive, I find it hard to believe how much art I produced this year. Not only what I share online , but also all of my sketchbooks as well as client work that I am unable to share at times. I hope to double that productivity for 2015. Below are some sketches I did in a program called Mischief today. I find the brushes to be very responsive, but what attracted me the most is the program has an infinite canvas and infinite zoom in and out feature. To understand that better and learn about the other features , you can check out the company's website here. This first pic is a screen grab of my entire canvas so far.
Now here are some pics when I zoom in to the sketch, as you can see you are able to zoom in infinitely, you can literally draw a character inside the eyeball of another character, it's pretty wild. I think I will keep adding on to this canvas throughout the year for fun. Thanks for stopping by, enjoy, and here is to a healthy and prosperous 2015.

Alex In Wonderland?
Here is an illustration I did using an abstract ink blot thumbnail as a jump off point. The ink blots just looked like mushrooms to me, so I thought why not do a cool version of Absalom with a gas mask hookah and a Steam punk garbed character that's obviously a long way from home.
And while we are on the subject of Alice In Wonderland... I finally finished the Johnny Depp/ Tim Burton caricature I was working on. I can't even count how many projects these two have done together. I love their collaborations. I wonder if Tim gets jealous when Gore Verbinski uses Depp in his films:)
Next up is a W.I.P. of another assignment for Anthony Jones's creature course. Followed by some random doodles. enjoy:)

Book Cover
This is a book cover I was commissioned to do for my good friend Don Rogers. I have been working with Don for a few years now, designing characters for his Everest Swift stories. He is working on a website for his Tin-Man entertainment brand, I will give you more on that as it develops. For now if you are interested in getting a signed copy of this book you can contact Don Rogers at his email :

The first is a prelim drawing sent to the client for approval. I usually do a bunch of thumbnails first, then decide on which thumbnail works best for the story, and if I feel the composition is good.

Once the client approves the mock-up, I can clean up the pencils, ink them, and finally Color and add the text.
Hope you like it.
