Zenomorphs

Here are two Zenomorphs inspired by the movies Alien (the franchise), and Prometheus. These were originally done for a face book speedpaint group started by artist Alex Ruiz that I decided to take a little further. The first one was done using the new Zbrush 4r6 and photoshop cs6. I tried to re-imagine the Deacon from the end of Prometheus with more of a reptilian appearance. The second one was more true to the original H.R. Giger design for Alien, but of course with a bit of a twist. This one was done in Photoshop and the new Corel X3.  Both the upgrades for zbrush and corel painter are awesome, and game changers in my opinion. Cheech and Chong

Cheech & Chong are a Grammy Award-winning comedy duo consisting of Richard "Cheech" Marin and Tommy Chong who found a wide audience in the 1970s and 1980s for their films and stand-up routines, which were based on the hippie and free love era, and especially drug and counterculture movements, most notably their love for cannabis. MegaMind, Despicable Me, Rio and some random art stuff

Bout time I dump some more art on this blog:) Here are some thumbnail composition studies from animated movies: Rio, Megamind, and despicable Me. I love doing these little thumbs, I find them fun and always feel I learn a bunch when I do them. next is another bird study from a photo I took at the Birmingham Zoo a few weeks ago:) This guy looks like something from pre-history. And last, some really cool experiments that I intend on painting over and turning into something more concrete very soon. They were generated using Silk Interactive generative art. Nick Nolte and Eddie Murphy

48 Hrs. is a 1982 American action comedy film directed by Walter Hill, starring Nick Nolte and Eddie Murphy as a cop and convict, respectively, who team up to catch a cop-killer. The title refers to the amount of time they have to solve the crime. This was Murphy's film debut (in a Golden Globe Award-nominated role), and Joel Silver's first film as a film producer.
